My name is Yana Gololob. I am a qualified psychologist and have been working as a person-centered psychotherapist for over 20 years. I am originally from Dnipro, Ukraine; however, following the full-scale Russian invasion, I was forced to leave my country and relocate to Germany in 2022. I currently live and work between Germany and Ukraine. I am qualified in both client-centered psychotherapy and child and adolescent psychotherapy.

Since 2003, I have been running my private practice, working with individuals, couples, families, and groups, both in person and online. Over the course of my professional development, I have become increasingly committed to sharing my experience and supporting the next generation of practitioners. I therefore qualified as a PCA trainer and supervisor at the UUAP (Ukrainian Umbrella Association of Psychotherapists), where I teach both theoretical and practical aspects of the approach.

In 2022, I joined the PCE World Board with the intention of contributing to the development of the Association and the advancement of the person-centered approach internationally, including within disadvantaged communities. I am currently completing my second term on the Board, serving as Treasurer. In this role, I have contributed to the financial oversight of the Association and supported its ongoing functioning. I also act as a liaison between the Board and the editorial team of the PCEP Journal, as well as between the Board and Taylor & Francis, the journal’s publisher.

I would welcome the opportunity to continue contributing to the work of the Board and to further support the development and international presence of the Association, helping to strengthen its position within the global psychotherapy community. At the same time, I would value the opportunity to share the experience and knowledge I have gained with incoming Board members, supporting a smooth transition and the continued development of the Association.
