Creating a global PCE community
The association was formed to contribute to the support and growth of the person-centered and experiential approach in psychotherapy and counselling. We also aspire to contribute at a socio-political level and demonstrate the value of a PC & E informed approach to health, education and social equity. To do those things, the more connected we are, the better.

PCE World Board
The Association is able to function thanks to a volunteer Board comprising of members from all over the world. Elections are held online biennially and any current individual member is eligible to stand as a candidate. We particularly welcome student members. Conferences
The 17th World Conference on Person-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapy and Counselling (PCE2026) took place from July 8 (Pre-Conference July 6) – 12, 2026, in Cologne, Germany. Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to its success. The next PCE World Conference will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from 17 - 21 July 2028, under the theme: Care as the dwelling place of the bond – Reflections on an ethics and praxis for our time.

PCEP Journal
Available free to members, the mission of the journal is to encourage, and disseminate worldwide, new work on person-centered and experiential therapies, including philosophy, theory, practice, training and research. It is published quarterly and is indexed in PsychINFO.

FAiR
The association acknowledges there are many inequities in the modern world and we do not wish financial constraints to be a barrier to joining us or participating in our conferences. That’s why we have a Financial Aid Resources (FAiR) approach. You are welcome to apply for help in meeting the cost of membership and conference fees. Find out more below. And soon we will have some small grants available for research and translation.
