My name is Elektra Diakolambrianou and I am a person-centred practitioner, trainer and researcher from Greece. I have been a member of PCE-World since 2013, and have served as a board member for 3 consecutive terms from 2014 until 2020. I am also a board member of PCE-Europe since 2025. During my previous terms as a PCE-World board member, my main task was that of the board secretary. I was also involved in the work of the scientific committee, the membership committee, the newsletter team, and have acted as a liaison between PCE-World and PCE-Europe. After finishing my terms as a board member, I continued contributing to PCE-World as a member of the election committee. Through this continuous involvement, I have gained a lot of experience in the tasks needed to organize the work of the organization and keep it running as smoothly as possible. At the same time, I had the chance to gain insight into the challenges that PCE-World faces, not only in terms of organizational functioning, but most importantly in terms of identifying and addressing the needs of the international PCE community. Becoming a mother in 2023 demanded of me to take time and space away from professional obligations, but now that my babies have grown into toddlers (and will soon attend kindergarten), I feel eager to again become more actively involved in PCE-World. I would like to contribute to the new PCE-World board with the experience and insight I have gathered from the various tasks and committees I have served in the past, but most importantly with the enthusiasm for meaningful work that helps our PCE community become a space of enrichment by and for its members.
