PSYCHOTHERAPIES: A SPECIAL ISSUE OF PERSON-CENTERED AND EXPERIENTIAL PSYCHOTHERAPIES

We are inviting manuscript submissions for a special issue of Person-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapies (PCEP) on Qualitative Research in Person-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapies.

The aims of this special issue are:

  • To relate Qualitative Research with Person-Centered and Experiential essentials,
  • To understand, with the assistance of the Qualitative Research, different ways of interpreting phenomena related to the different meanings clients and PCE therapists bring to their experience,
  • To elaborate and deepen knowledge on Person-Centered and Experiential practice as an effect of Qualitative Research,
  • To promote Qualitative Research in Person-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapies including all forms of qualitative empirical inquiry, advancements in qualitative methods, and debates about methodology, theory, ethics and practice,
  • To enhance reflexivity in the Qualitative Research within Counselling and Psychotherapy and more particularly in the research methodology and in the experience of interviewing, and
  • To invite a critical dialogue on the major significance of Qualitative Research in the field of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Types of papers: We are inviting theoretical and research-based contributions. We encourage authors to critically evaluate Qualitative Research innovations in the field of Counselling and Psychotherapy and offer a range of different perspectives and methodological understandings of how Qualitative Research in Person-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapies can be applied within different settings. We are optimistic that authors will link theoretical developments in Person-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapies and research to practice in specific interventions. We finally welcome the authors to explore the impact of humanistic values of Person-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapies in the Qualitative Research area.
