Paul Wilkins
The person centred community has lost another valued colleague with the recent death of Paul Wilkins on 24th August 2022. With grateful thanks to her, we share the following words from Maggie Taylor-Sanders, PCCS Books Director, and offer our condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.
“Paul was a much-loved friend and supporter of PCCS Books, and his death is another significant loss to the person-centred world. We send our condolences to Paula Williams his partner, and his family.
Paul was an academic, supervisor and therapist deeply committed to the person-centred approach about which he has written papers, chapters and books, too many to mention. His commitment to what it means to be person-centred permeated his whole life: in his personal life he was warm, funny and non-judgemental, and of course in his professional life as an inspirational teacher, practitioner and researcher.
Paul’s enthusiasm for life shone out particularly in his knowledge and love of wild places, music, wine and food, to name but a few of his indulgences. If I needed to know the name of a wildflower or insect it was always Paul I went to. His writing skills, expertise, wise advice and mischievous sense of humour will be much missed by me personally, and by us all at PCCS Books.”
