The Association has both individual and organizational members. At both levels of membership the principle of local autonomy is maintained. The Association does not interfere with the rights of national and international organizations or individual's practice or research Individual membership is open to professionals, trainees and other persons who wish to further the goals of the Association in psychotherapy, counseling and related fields. Organizational membership is open to associations, organizations and institutions which embrace the principles and goals of the Association and which have clearly defined and published ethical standards. At both levels of membership the principle of local autonomy is maintained. The Association does not interfere with the rights of national and international organizations or individual's practice or research.
The most important aspect of membership is its political impact in advocating globally for person-centered and experiential practice, research, and development. Membership includes a subscription to the journal ‘Person-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapies' (PCEP), which is indexed by PsycINFO. There are 4 issues per year. The mission of the Journal is to encourage and disseminate, worldwide, new work on Person-Centered and Experiential Therapies, including philosophy, theory, practice, training and research. The journal will not give preference to any parts of the world, nor to any philosophical or theoretical emphases within the approach. Members will also receive a regular Newsletter with information about current developments in the Association and news of conferences and publications. You will be entitled to a reduction on the PCE Conference fees and you have a vote in the General Assembly of the Association and in the Board election.
The membership is valid for the current year, and has to be renewed each year by the member. It is valid as soon as the payment has been received, and cannot be refunded.
