Call for papers on faciliatating encounter for a specail issue of PCEP

We are inviting manuscript submissions for a special issue of Person-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapies (PCEP) on Facilitating encounter.
The aims of this special issue are:
To explore the range of understandings about what encounter is and how to facilitate it.
To stimulate discussion about encounter facilitation in the PCE literature.
To provide a resource and reference of different understandings that organisers or facilitators of encounter groups can refer to so participants have a better idea what to expect from encounter and encounter facilitation.
To prompt the theoretical debate of encounter, encounter groups and facilitating encounter groups.
Types of papers: We are inviting theoretical and research based contributions but anticipate that most will be based on experience of facilitating encounter. Each author will firstly be asked to define encounter and what constitutes an encounter group. Then each contributor will explain the role of the encounter facilitator(s), their aims and purposes and how being a facilitator may differ from being a participant, including elaborating myths or misconceptions. This must be tied to person-centered theory. We anticipate most contributions will be short (max 2000 words) but more theoretical or research-based papers can be up to 6000 words. The editors will introduce the papers and conclude, bringing together similarities and differences among the responses.

All submitted papers will go through the usual peer-review process for PCEP articles, so revisions may be requested, and acceptance of your paper cannot be guaranteed.
Articles should be sent by February 1, 2019, with no more than 6000 words.
