National Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect

The American Psychological Association will co-sponsor the federal Office on Child Abuse and Neglect's 16th National Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect,
The meeting is the only national conference devoted to issues of child abuse and neglect and brings together more than 2,000 practitioners, policy-makers, community organizers and researchers for a week of plenary, workshop and skill-building sessions. APA has co-sponsored the five previous national conferences.

The 2007 Annual
Conference of the Association for the Development of the Person-Centered
Approach will be held in New York City, USA from July 25-27 at the inexpensive
New York University’s Kimmel Center and will include professional presentations,
large encounter groups, a talent show, an entertainment guide, and a cocktail
party with live band.

This seminar offers an opportunity to get to know, to experience and co-create a one-week encounter group following the tradition of the La Jolla Program. We want to address an international community and would like to invite foreign participants.
The design of the workshop includes change between large-group and small-group work, enhances inter-group processes and their reflection and welcomes the forming of self-organised groups.
The workshop is open to persons in counselling and psychotherapy training as well as for those, who are not in training, but would like to use the group-experience for their personal and professional development.
Languages: German and English.

WORLD CONGRESS FOR PSYCHOTHERAPY 2008
The 5th World Congress for Psychotherapy, organised by the World Council for Psychotherapy, will be held in Bejing, October 12-15, 2008. The WA is a member of the WCP and following our successful symposiums at the conferences in Vienna (2002) and Buenos Aires (2005), we are hoping to work together with colleagues from China and other oriental countries to put together a PCE symposium in Bejing.
